It has minimal instructions and practically to extend it up to 1.80 you have to guess by trying it. In theory there is a plate below to open one section and another above to open the others. I have counted 6 sections. It will follow you if you press the button and it turns green; if it's red, it stays static.
Another advantage is that it can be unscrewed from the stick and the camera can be placed upside down with another screw.
The phone can be placed horizontally, vertically, or tilted.
The tripod (has 4 height-adjustable legs) is stable if there is no strong wind so it is advisable to fix it well to the ground.
